Paris 2024: Gold Medal-Winning Videos

The Olympic Games is one of (if not THE) most viewed sporting events in the world and with that brands, sponsors and even athletes themselves look to engage with the huge global audience through inspiring video content.

This blog takes a look at our favourite Paris 2024 adverts from the likes of Nike, Molson Coors and Omega... which one do you think takes the Gold?!

Omega

Omega’s new ad, ‘Official Timekeeper of the Olympics,’ re-imagines Paris as a dreamlike sports arena, where iconic landmarks become the stage for surreal athletic feats.

Athletes like Gianmarco Tamberi and Mondo Duplantis perform extraordinary jumps over the Arc de Triomphe and the Sacré-Cœur Basilica, while Céline Boutier tees off from Notre-Dame in spectacular fashion! The luxury watchmaker's role as the Olympic and Paralympic Games' Official Timekeeper is seemingly a popular one, with this video having racked up 74 million views on YouTube! Bravo Omega, bravo!

Molson Coors

Molson Coors, a partner of Team Canada produced their ‘Sponsor the Parents’ video to support a crucial yet often overlooked group: the parents of Team Canada athletes. Recognising the immense dedication it takes to raise world-class athletes, the ad highlights the parents’ efforts, from early morning practices to extensive travel for competitions.

Molson’s campaign even went as far as signing nine Team Canada parents to endorsement deals, offering them perks typically reserved for pro athletes, including paid contracts, starring roles in commercials, and documentation of their journey in Paris on Molson’s social media channels.

We love this original twist which clearly sets Molson apart from its competitors!

Nike

Nike’s new campaign, ‘Winning Isn’t for Everyone’ continues the brand's 50-year legacy of inspiring athletes through powerful storytelling!

This campaign redefines the winning mindset and how anyone can be a winner if they have the drive. Big name athletes include LeBron James, Serena Williams, Vini Jr. and Sha'Carri Richardson, highlighting their determination and sacrifice required to reach the top.

The ad has had its critics with many deeming it to promote unsporting behaviour and an unhealthy approach to sport.... we think the video joins the list of yet another Nike masterpiece though!

FIGS

Medical apparel brand Figs has launched its largest campaign to date, ‘Anatomy of a Champion,’ celebrating the Team USA Medical Team at the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024.

With the tagline ‘It takes heart to build bodies that break records,‘ the film captures the grueling reality of high-level sport. The incredible visuals and sound fx only enhance the unique storytelling to create a brilliant and memorable video.

Now for the big question...
